Ellie Roberts, Koning Albert and Jill, had a 5am start on Monday to get to Northallerton EC again, this time for the Medium Gold Dressage class at the Regionals. We had no expectations after yesterday, when we felt Berti performed a lovely test and only took just over 66%.
Today, when you are up against Olympic Riders and top International riders with several rides in the class, we just know, were here to make up the numbers but there's no harm in "giving it a go".
Berti had a few too many vodka shots the night before and was still on a high for some reason🚀
He is so keen to please and do the fancy sideways stuff, he offered some when it wasn't required, but full marks for enthusiasm! This was his first attempt at Medium at the Regionals as he only started Medium really this year.
Even though he came 9th out of 14, (the same as Yesterday), he managed a score of just under 67% and the judges loved him and considering most of his lost marks were for trying to be a clever dick, we are so happy with him. Well done Berti and Ellie 💪🏻🍻🎉🎊
